dc.description.abstract"The purpose of this final project is to provide a systematic tool applicable to the complex problems of a multinational food. To obtain a solution to the difficulties that can occur today and its diversity. The main objectives are the reduction of rejections in delivery of finished product and stabilize the level of the same. This type of inefficiency causes unnecessary logistical costs for the company mainly in storage and transport. So, it is necessary to apply a tool oriented to the needs of the client and with the analytical capacity to search for the real causes of the problems. Through Six Sigma will attempt to discover the relationship between the processes involved in the value chain and the impact on the problem. Knowing this will be focus on those variables that affect normal processes to then implement improvement actions that leverage on them looking for the greatest possible impact. The methodology is characterized by order and sustained in the statistics so that each performed stage is based on the safety of the former. It is planne d to incorporate preventive tools based on the order of the activities and the standardization of processes in order to avoid errors perpetuated throughout the value chain. In addition, a control scheme will be designed to check the effectiveness of the actions implemented. The proposal to apply the methodology Six Sigma not only aims to improve an inefficient process, but to demonstrate the potential of the tool to be applied to other areas of the company under the same guidelines. The flexibility of the methodology allows not only to be executed in productive fields but also in administrative processesor services. Continuous improvement is a philosophy which aims to progress, productivity and efficiency of the processes to ensure the maximum utilization. The reality of the companies required to maximize profits at the lowest possible cost and through this project will attempt to prove that the Six Sigma methodology is a formidable tool in pursuit of this end."en
