Abstract
"Uno de los principales negocios de la empresa DADA Logística es el abastecimiento 'Just in Sequence' de autopartes a Volkswagen Argentina. Esta modalidad similar a 'Just in Time' pero incluye, además, la colocación de piezas necesarias según la secuencia de producción de la línea automotríz. Uno de los principales recursos utilizados para esta operación son los camiones con los que se abastece desde los depósitos de secuenciado (DADA) a la línea Volkswagen. Al detectar una sub-utilización en estos recursos, se decide simular la operación en el programa Arena para obtener la configuración óptima de camiones necesarios para mejorar la productividad y mantener el nivel de servicio".
"One of the main businesses in DADA Logistics is the supply of auto parts to Volkswagen Argentina in the form of Jus in Sequence. Just in Sequence is quite similar to Just in Time, but it also includes de placement of the auto parts needed following the sequence of production given by the automotive production line. One of the main resources used for this operation are the truck used to supply the Volkswagen production line from the warehouse (DADA). After detecting an underutilization of these resources, it has been decided to simulate the whole process with the Arena software in order to find out which is the optimum truck configuration needed to improve the productivity and maintain the actual level of service".
