Abstract
"La logística y el transporte terrestre tienen un rol indispensable en el mundo actual, la globalización, la publicidad y la segmentación y variedad de productos para consumidores exigen una inversión y desarrollos constantes en tecnología y nivel de servicio para cumplir las entregas de lo que quieren los consumidores en el momento exacto en que lo quieren.
En un mundo digital donde las empresas más grandes e influyentes tienen cada vez menos activos, las compañías de consumo masivo con sus grandes estructuras deben solventar además costos de transporte importantes y muchas veces las inversiones y la gestión de costos son ineficientes.
Este trabajo presenta una metodología estratégica para la contratación del servicio de transporte terrestre que hace frente a la situación planteada. Se describe de forma detallada el método y se ejemplifica con un caso práctico real aplicado a una compañía modelo. El objetivo es motivar la puesta en práctica de la metodología cuyos resultados están demostrados en países desarrollados donde se aplica desde hace años pero con mucha oportunidad en la Argentina."

In a digital world where most influential and biggest companies have less assets, massive corporations with big structures meet important transportation costs and many times with non-efficient investments and cost management. This work presents a strategic hiring methodology for land transportation services to face current situation. The method is described in detail and exemplified in a case applied on a model company. The main goal is to encourage methodology usage which results are proved in developed countries where it has been used for years, but with a big opportunity in Argentina."
