"El presente trabajo describe como se llevó a cabo la investigación para el Proyecto Final de Ingeniería Industrial del Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires, en la búsqueda de establecer innovaciones en la fabricacion de tablas de surf. El proyecto se divide en cuatro etapas comenzando por la revisión del estado del arte de la industria, la segunda etapa corresponde al estudio de como otras disciplinas deportivas realizan innovaciones, en la tercera se elaboran una serie de posibles líneas de estudio, ponderando y seleccionando la alternativa mas adecuada al proyecto. Finalmente en la cuarta etapa se describe el concepto de modelo natural, acudiendo al trabajo interdisciplinario como herramienta base y a la observación del medio natural como elemento de generación de conocimiento. El resultado final es el diseño de un elemento que, mediante diversas características, permita mejorar la experiencia de quienes practican este deporte".
"This project describes how the search has been carried out to achieve the Final Industrial Engineering Plan at the ITBA. The main goal has been to generate innovations intended to improve the manufacturing of surfboards. The project involves four stages. First, the review of the prevailing state of the art in the industry. Second, the study of the innovations applied to other sport disciplines. Third, the analysis of different options so as to select the most convenient for the project. Fourth, it describes the natural model concept based on the interdisciplinary activities with the observation of the environment being the source of knowledge. This innovation will allow sportsmen to have brand new experiences due to the characteristics of its design".
